The Sisters of Notre Dame Eastern Kentucky Foundation is pleased to announce the naming of Mindy Highley as its first Chief Executive Officer. This milestone appointment marks a new chapter for the Foundation as it begins its mission of assisting those in need in eastern Kentucky.

“I am incredibly grateful to the Sisters of Notre Dame and the Foundation Board for the confidence they have placed in me to lead this organization as we establish it from the ground up,” said Highley. “Together, we will build on the legacy of service of the Sisters of Notre Dame and create opportunities that enhance the quality of life for people in our region.”

Highley brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and regional programming. With a passion for rural communities, she has spent over 30 years working in various leadership roles that have focused on improving education and healthcare opportunities for people in the area. Her expertise will be vital as the Foundation aims to impact Eastern Kentucky.

As the inaugural CEO, Highley will oversee the strategic direction of the SND Eastern Kentucky Foundation, ensuring the effective execution of its programs, securing resources, and advancing its mission to foster sustainable development and improve the lives of Eastern Kentucky residents. The Foundation is focused on building educational opportunities, expanding access to essential services, and promoting long-term economic stability in the region.
