Crosley Patrick House Family Legacy
The SND Eastern Kentucky Foundation was pleased to host the children of the late Creed and Helen Patrick recently. The Patricks were the original owners of the Crosley-Patrick House, which now serves as a secondary residence for the Sisters of Notre Dame and the home of the Foundation.
Richard Crosley Patrick and Kay Patrick McAllister, and her husband Jack, recently visited their parent’s former residence to meet with Foundation staff. The Crosley and Patrick families have lived in Morehead for several generations. Helen Crosley Patrick was born in Morehead and spent her entire life here. Creed Patrick arrived in Morehead as a child. They both attended and graduated from Breckinridge Training School.
Helen spent many years as a St. Claire Auxiliary volunteer, one of the first “pink ladies” to serve. Creed served many years as a member of the Morehead Fire Department, an all-volunteer crew. He was also instrumental in establishing the Morehead Airport.
The generosity of the Patrick and McAllister families is much appreciated and the naming of the Crosley-Patrick House will permanently honor their legacy.
